TEST Mode
The MyCar device will show TEST Mode on the app screen until the device is "released" from initial login. TEST Mode is used so the install tech can access and test the MyCar device, to make this go away you must remove the device SN# from the app (whether you are using your own smartphone to test or the client smartphone to test) then re-add the SN# back to the app a second time. The TEST Mode screen should go away at that point.
Communication Issues | No 2-Way
Problem: Lately we have identified some communication issues with the new 4G telematics devices.
Symptoms: - Upon power up of a Telematics device, network status LED on device shows as being connected to the carrier network. - App will display some or no current signal status, vehicle battery status and doorlock status - Sending commands thru the App will reach the vehicle and command will be executed but no feedback to the application (no 2 way) - App icons will display all commands in Red color to show a failed command
Recommendations: - We strongly recommend powering up the device for at least 5 to 10 minutes before sending any commands to it. - Not waiting this time period might display failed commands on the application, but the vehicle might execute the commands

Discovered something under your dash that looks like a MyCar Device?
Were you working on your vehicle and discover what looks to be a MyCar device? If the device you found has a wire harness with BLUE sheathing (covering) on it's wire harness, it is NOT a MyCar device, is it an AR-4MA GPS tracking device commonly installed by car dealers, or vehicle finance companies to secure financed vehicles (secure your loan).
Did you discover THIS? (see below)
Before doing anything to the device, ensure your vehicle finance agreement does not stipulate you must have the device installed on the vehicle. If your agreement does not mention the device, or need for one, then our suggestion is to UNPLUG the device (as someone out there will be able to determine the location of your vehicle through use of the device).
