Trying to hook up a smart start dsm550 to a idatastart

I am having issues getting the start smart to connect to the idatastart module I've tried hooking the white 4 pin from smart start to idata module and tried using a  IDA ADS HRN(RS)-SM01 harness and does nothing just get the 702 code. I have reflashed the idata  Module and turned on the smart start feature hooked the grey to a ground, not sure what I am missing or if there is a differrent firmware that is needed or a different setting that needs to be turned on.  Any help would be appreciated
